Hickson Hammer

31 03 2012

After being bought out by the Sacramento Kings, J.J. Hickson had a chance of being a bit piece on a squad. The Portland Trail Blazers giving him a contract was a sign he could be LaMarcus Aldridge’s back-up. Once Aldridge went down with an elbow injury Friday night, Hickson had his chance to show the Blazers what he could do. He did just that.

This dunk exemplifies how his entire night went as he put up 29 points and 13 rebounds. Even though the Blazers lost to the Clippers, 98-97, on a game-winning lay-up by Chris Paul, the Blazers now have some hope in their new power forward.

I always thought he was a good player. I liked him when he was with the Cavs. I found his lockout experience amusing though.

I liked him with the Cavs, too. I really think this kid has a lot of potential.
