Fun Fact Friday

23 06 2012

Balanced scoring from the Miami Heat was not their best quality during the regular season as only three players averaged double-digit scoring and only four averaged more than seven points. The playoffs proved to be much different, especially in the Finals. During the first three rounds of the playoffs, the champions averaged 3.8 (1st round), 3.17 (2nd round) and 3.29 players (Eastern Conference Finals) in double figures while only once having five or more men reach 10+ points. In the NBA Finals, they averaged 4.4 and twice had five or more men reach this mark. Mike Miller’s 23 point performance in series-clinching Game 5 was his most points since January 22, 2011 when he put up 32 against the Toronto Raptors.
